Values

Our values – Starting and ending with making good games with good people – directly contribute to making high-quality products & high quality followers, building brands, creating lasting franchises , and empowering voluntary ambassadors for games.

Character Matters

Collaboration, Accountability, Communication, Confidentiality, and Craftsmanship are core to the success of our studio and our Partners

Quality in Everything

Ensure all content matters, filling games with rich, quality content (which is what we want as gamers)

Everything is a Product

Everything has a quality bar, customers, distribution, and value

Everything is a Project

Everything has a budget, a deadline, milestones, customers, and measurable success

A Center for Excellence

We are a group of passionate professionals who know our craft and are at the top of our professional game, we want to do more with our Skills, Expertise, & Experience, and we are running a business (not a body shop)

Our company culture is geared to equip, empower, stretch, and grow our team, so we can do more than we can by ourselves, and more than studios bigger than us can produce – All while maintaining a high quality of life.

Giving Back, Building Up

We have a responsibility to elevate people in the world around us, and to create a space for those who don’t have equitable opportunities historically or in today’s world, and we do this through

  • Taking care of our community (Listener-supported KUTX radio, Safe In Austin)
  • Taking care of our future (Girls Who Code)
  • Taking care of our veterans (USO Gaming)
  • Taking care of needs in the moment (Contributing to local and global catastrophes and impacts as needs arise)

Our Expectations (For All of Us)

  • Live the Values – Our code of conduct is big part of how Enduring Games does more than larger studios, and works to constantly to contribute to elevating the game industry through the people, culture, and products we put into it
  • Do a Good Job – Be responsible for the work for which you were hired, and work on things with the same urgency and professionalism whether or not it’s your personal passion
  • Be Accountable – Show integrity, protect confidentiality, and deliver (genuine accountability is hard, and accountability is not about making people wrong – it is about making people better)
  • Collaborate – Work well in a genuinely collaborative team environment, put other people first, and make everything we do better because we do it together
  • Learn Quickly – Adapt to diverse technologies, business models, development processes, and changing industry drivers
  • Self-Direct – Stay focused, work autonomously, and pay attention to details
  • Communicate – Proactively call out issues and opportunities, use appropriate communication channels , and raise issues of concern well before they become problems
  • Know the State-of-the-Art – The game industry changes constantly, so we all need to stay on the front of business, partnership, and technology changes, not let our skills atrophy, avoid laziness, and stay relevant and helpful to our industry, partners, clients, and peers
  • Confidentiality – We work on unannounced projects, games, and hardware well before other developers, and we protect our Platform Partners, our Clients, and our team by protecting that information
  • Work with Urgency – The things we do are important, and we work on those things with a focused, professional craftsmanship – If something isn’t important to us, we need to understand that importance, or verify it is not important (and stop working on it)
